iPad 2 Is The Best Tablet On The Market According To Consumer Reports

Surprise! It looks as like the iPad 2 seems to be the best tablet on the market. Consumer Reports have just released their tablet ratings and they have ranked the iPad 2 as the best tablet on the market. Now don’t get this wrong, Consumer Reports have tested an abundance of different tablets including tablets from Archos, Dell, Motorola, Samsung, & ViewSonic, as well as the Apple’s iPad 2. The tablets were evaluated on 17 criteria, including versatility, touch-screen responsiveness, screen glare, portability, & ease of use. The testers found extraordinary results, for example, the iPad 2 (32 GB) Wi-Fi + 3G model which costs $730.00 scored excellent in nearly all of the categories. Even the first generation iPad model which is priced at about $580.00 scored excellent in almost all categories, & out-performed most of the other tablets tested, but only managed to tie the new Motorola Xoom which costs  $800.00

“So far, Apple is leading the tablet market in both quality and price, which is unusual for a company whose products are usually premium priced,” said Paul Reynolds, Electronics Editor at Consumer Reports. “However, it’s likely we’ll see more competitive pricing in tablets as other models begin to hit the market.”

The report also found the iPad out-performed battery life of the Dell Streak by 8 hours when both devices played the same video on loop. Consumer Reports also confirmed that when purchasing the iPad 2, you’re promised what you paid for. You still get what you’re paying for, even if it means a couple hundred dollars more.
